During Todays shoot I visited London to photograph some of the places at night. I felt that this would be a very successful shoot because I would be able to capture a variety of very different, unique images and also by going to London it meant that there were so many places that I could visit. In the End we visited Camden Market, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace and then along the river to Big Ben and the London Eye. I produced a large number of photos from this shoot and I feel that quite a few of them were quite successful.
This is one of my photos from this shoot. This photo shows one of the buildings along Regent Street and I feel that this is a very good image because this building has a lot of lights on it meaning that it is very lit up and bright. I also like how you can see the light from within the shops as that adds some more colour to the image. To improve this image it will need editing as changing the levels and curves will improve the image quite a lot and I may also lay another image which is quite similar to this over the top and then change the opacity and I think that could be quite an usual photo however look very good.
This is a photo I took whilst at Camden Market. Although I love this photo because of the composition and I love how the lights look, this image is quite blurry. If i have time before the end of this unit I would like to take this image again as I think this would have been a very successful image had it been focused.
Progression
After this shoot I have decided that rather than focusing along this line of lights of buildings I will go back to images I have studied earlier in my topic as I feel that these fit better into my exam topic of creative use of light. I will do this by doing my next shoot of sparklers to make light graffiti as this is a style of photo I have not yet looked at however think it would be a very good shoot.
