Work Diary

Thursday 5th March
During todays shoot I was able to carry on with my glow stick shoots, I felt this was not a very successful shoot as the majority of my photos were quite blurry and I have felt more comfortable about how successful other shoots were however from this I have learnt that I prefer to shoot at home rather than in class I can shoot at night in the dark whereas I had to find a dark area in the college.

This was one of my glow stick images form this shoot. I like this image because I think the glow sticks are in focus and this creates a very effective image,  also think that this is effectively composed as I have included a large amount of glow sticks in comparison to my previous shoots where I have not used many and I think this is a much better example of glow stick photography.

This is another of my photo from this shoot, however I do not think this was a very good photo as I do not like the composition and this is also very blurry where the shutter speed is naturally slow due to being in a dark room and I was not able to keep the camera very still. I much prefer some of my other images and think this is a very bad image.

Progression
During this shoot I found it slightly difficult to shoot the images without them being blurry so if I was too shoot these again in the future I would make sure to use a tripod to keep the camera still for the image. After completing this shoot I would like to move on slightly from photographing glow sticks and attempt to do a shoot using my uv paint. Due to not knowing how skilled I will be with the paint itself, I feel more comfortable to photograph myself wearing it first as I will feel less conscious of how the paint turns out. At home I will experiment with the paint and take some photos however I would like to take some very close up images as I do not want it to be clear that these photos are self portraits and I also feel that the closer images will look good as you will be able to see the paint in more detail, maybe even the brushstrokes.
