This is a good example of creative use of light because the photographer has taken this photo with a long exposure to create an extended image of the lights from the vehicles driving past. This image also shows the street lights and lights from the building and this means this its even further into my creative use of light topic.
This is a photograph of a heart drawn using sparklers, to create this, the photographer has slowed down the shutter speed meaning they catch all of the light rather than just taking a photo of what can be seen as it is moving. This is a good way of showing creative use of light because the light has been used but we have captured it all making this image very interesting.
This is a photograph of a model wearing UV makeup, to crete this, the photographer has applied the paint to the models face and then shone a UV light on the models face and this means that the paint glows very brightly. I would like to experiment with this as I think this is a very good method and shows creative use of light very well due to the makeup not being visible without the UV light.
This is a very different example of photography showing creative use of light, I think this is very effective because the light behind the cup are out of focus and I think this looks very effective. I think this shows creative use of light very well however I will not look into doing this style very much as I prefer the methods used in some other types of photographs.
Real Examples :
Glow Stick -
1. Unwrap the glowstick from the packaging. Rip open the package from the opening tab on the top.
2. Crack the glowstick. Hold it horizontally and grab the left side with your left hand and the right side with your right hand. Bend it so both hands bring it downwards. You will hear a crack.
3. Shake the glowstick. This mixes all the chemicals that originally were separated by the glass. Crack it a little more to make sure everything gets out of the inner glass tube.
4. Play with it. There's an endless list of things you can do with it. Hang it from a nail on your wall to use like a torch and don't turn on your lights to save electricity (you can use multiple ones). Twirl it really fast to create a blur. Throw it up in the air and catch it. It should be going for about 8 hours.
My Definition :
Light is something natural which is reflected or shines on objects meaning we can see them, without light we would see nothing.
